Certified Pharmacy Technician
Location Cary, NC | Hybrid (after on-site training)
Compensation & Schedule
• $23/hour
• Mon–Fri 9am–6pm onsite through February 2026; shifts move to 11am–8pm hybrid afterward
ROLE IMPACT: As a Certified Pharmacy Technician, you will support a high-volume prescription processing team during a critical reverification period. Success in this role hinges on data accuracy, speed, and communication skills. You'll help ensure compliance, quality service delivery, and patient care by facilitating pharmacist communication and order processing.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Accurately enter and process prescription data, including during reverification periods
• Set up and maintain new patient profiles in internal systems
• Handle inbound and outbound calls with physician offices for prescriptions and clarifications
• Support pharmacist-to-pharmacist transfers
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure order accuracy and compliance
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT)
• Registered with the North Carolina Board of Pharmacy
• Minimum 1 year of data entry or pharmacy tech experience
• Must be able to work 11am–8pm schedule post-February
CORE TOOLS & SYSTEMS
• Pharmacy order entry platforms
• Call handling and phone systems
• Internal patient profile databases
• Microsoft Excel or similar for data verification
• HIPAA-compliant communication systems
PREFERRED SKILLS
• High attention to detail in data-heavy environments
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong multitasking and time management skills
