Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced and creative Indian Chef with deep knowledge of North and South Indian cuisines, as well as strong expertise in working with the Tandoor (clay oven). The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning and preparing meals, managing kitchen operations, and maintaining high culinary standards. Key Responsibilities: Prepare authentic Indian dishes including curries, biryanis, breads (naan, roti), kebabs, and more Operate and maintain Tandoor oven for cooking items such as naan, roti, tandoori chicken, paneer tikka, and kebabs Develop and update traditional Indian recipes with innovative presentation and flavor Oversee food preparation and cooking in line with hygiene and food safety standards Manage inventory and food costs, ensuring quality control of ingredients Train and supervise junior kitchen staff Collaborate with management on menu planning and seasonal specials Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen at all times Ensure timely and consistent delivery of food during service hours Required Skills & Qualifications: Proven experience as an Indian Chef in a professional kitchen (minimum 3–5 years) Strong expertise in operating the Tandoor oven In-depth knowledge of regional Indian cuisines (North, South, Punjabi, Mughlai, etc.) Excellent understanding of Indian spices, herbs, and cooking techniques Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under pressure Good communication and team leadership skills Knowledge of food hygiene and kitchen safety standards Culinary certification or formal training is a plus Ability to manage portion sizes, minimize waste, and control food costs Preferred Skills (Optional but Valuable): Experience in vegetarian and vegan Indian cooking Knowledge of fusion or modern Indian cuisine trends Experience with menu engineering and costing Multilingual skills (especially Hindi or regional Indian languages) To Apply: Please send your CV, cover letter, and any portfolio (if available) to junoonloungeatl We look forward to welcoming a new culinary star to our kitchen!
