Job Description

Pop! Promos is seeking a strategic and data driven Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) with expertise in digital marketing, pipeline growth, marketing automation, customer segmentation & lifecycle management. This role will be a Channel Partner ally, not just the Chief Marketer.  This role will report to the CEO and sit on the company’s executive management team. Along with leadership over the Marketing and Creative Art team, the CMO will work closely with the Sales team to fuel sales pipelines, retain customers and amplify brand equity. The ideal candidate is someone who thrives in a hands-on, collaborative environment and embeds customer insights into every strategy.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Align marketing efforts with the sales team to drive pipeline growth and revenue acceleration with a focus on understanding the voice of the customer.
  • Optimize customer acquisition & retention rates.
  • Develop a robust data-driven approach to track ROI and campaign performance.
  • Analyze market trends, customer behavior and competitor insights to inform marketing and creative art strategies.
  • Ensure brand consistency across all channels and marketing materials.
  • Provide Leadership, Management, and Accountability (LMA) over marketing and creative art team members
  • Establish and manage annual Marketing budget

Key Outcomes (Performance Objectives)

Within 12 Months, You Will:

  1. Boost Sales Opportunities by 30%: Implement a diversified strategy to drive recurring revenue and first time orders and leads to sales teams.
  2. Increase Reorder Rates by 10%: Leverage existing relationships to increase revenue from all client tiers
  3. Enhance Product Design Mockups Conversion by 10%: Align creative output with customer needs to improve close rates on product mockup designs.

Core Competency Requirements:

  • 10+ years of a mix of B2B or B2B2C marketing experience with 7+ years managing a team
    • You won’t be marketing to a consumer, but you should have a deep understanding of building a relationship with a brand.
  • 3+ years as a senior director or higher with experience translating data into board-level decisions
  • Account Based Marketing - targeting high-value distributor accounts with personalized campaigns
  • Relationship-Centric Mindset - Channel Marketing / Indirect Sales Models experience
  • Expertise in CRM segmentation and marketing automation
  • Hands-on experience with AI-powered marketing tools for automation, analytics, and personalization
  • Proven track record of leading creative teams to meet revenue goals
  • Experience working closely with teams, guiding execution rather than just setting high-level directives.
  • Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Competitive base salary commensurate with experience and market
  • Generous PTO policy including flex holidays
  • Health Insurance, including dental and vision
  • Retirement plan with competitive company match
  • Company paid Life Insurance
  • Voluntary ancillary insurances
  • Frequent company-sponsored team activities

We're an equal opportunity employer. All applicants will be considered for employment without attention to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, veteran, or disability status.
