Position:  Cleaning Technician (Evening) - Full-Time/Non-Exempt

Department:  Facility Operations

Reports to:  Senior Director, Facility Operations

Location: Arizona Cardinals (Tempe, AZ)

Format: In-person

Days/Hours:  Monday – Friday from 6pm – 2:30am, hours may vary depending on the team’s schedule. Weekends and holidays are required based on business needs.

Job Summary:

The Cleaning Technician will be responsible for consistently ensuring our offices look professional, clean, presentable, and inviting; especially during routine cleaning and maintenance activities. This position sits on a team responsible for all the cleaning, disinfecting, detailing, and maintenance functions of the building while ensuring special attention to all team areas.

 

Primary Job Duties:

The Cleaning Technician position will have daily responsibilities including, without limitation, the following: 

  • Use the floor scrubber to clean and sanitize the tiled floors
  • Use floor extractor to shampoo, clean, and sanitize the carpeted flooring
  • Wash and sanitize steam and sauna rooms
  • Wash and sanitize slip resistant mats
  • Clean interior and exterior windows
  • Clean and sanitize weight room rubber floor
  • Polish and stain wood doors and furniture
  • Perform minor maintenance tasks such as remove shower heads and faucet aerators to clean, replace batteries on dispensers and automatic flushers and faucets, etc.
  • Wash out trash and recycling bins.
  • Power wash or scrub outdoor entryways
  • Clean out drains and strainers
  • Wash and clean interior and exterior walls
  • Dust and wipe railings, door handles, tables, furniture, partitions, walls, etc.
  • Clean glass cases, mirrors, and windows
  • Disinfect all touch points throughout the facility
  • Vacuum, clean, shampoo carpeted areas
  • Sweep and mop hard surface flooring
  • Clean and vacuum elevator and tracks
  • Replenish bathroom supplies such as toilet tissue, seat covers, paper towels, soap, hand sanitizer, etc.
  • Polish chrome and stainless-steel fixtures and touch points
  • Deep clean bathrooms, café, and other public areas
  • Maintain equipment and storage areas in good working conditions
  • Clean and wash tile, walls, and flooring
  • Inventory janitorial supplies and order as needed
  • Respond to spills or other hazards that may cause injuries to people or property
  • Additional duties or projects as assigned

 

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Experience: At least one (1) year of janitorial experience
  • Experience working in a professional sports environment preferred; but not required.
  • Effective communication and the ability to always work well with others.
  • Capacity to follow instructions and work with minimum supervision.
  • Ability to frequently stand, walk, bend, walk up and down stairs and ladders.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Flexibility to work events and evenings, weekends, and holidays; hours may vary depending on business needs.
  • Must complete all pre-employment forms and successfully pass a background check.
