Location: Onsite/Hybrid USA EST Coast

Duration: Long Term Contract

Primary Skills: cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, and GCP)

SQL/NoSQL databases (Snowflake, MongoDB, Cassandra, etc.).

Job Summary

• We are seeking an experienced Cloud Data Engineer to design and implement enterprise-level data solutions across cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, and GCP). The role requires expertise in data strategy, modern cloud data platforms, and advanced analytics solutions, ensuring scalability, performance, and security.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimize cloud-based data architecture leveraging AWS, Azure, and GCP services.
• Develop data lake, data warehouse, and real-time streaming solutions for enterprise-scale workloads.
• Define and implement data governance, security, and compliance policies across multi-cloud environments.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, business teams, and data engineers to translate business requirements into technical data solutions.
• Build ETL/ELT pipelines and integrate data from structured and unstructured sources.
• Provide architecture best practices, patterns, and frameworks for cloud-based data solutions.
• Evaluate emerging cloud-native technologies and recommend adoption strategies.
• Ensure performance optimization, scalability, disaster recovery, and cost efficiency of cloud data platforms.
• Lead proof-of-concepts (POCs) and guide engineering teams in cloud data solution implementation.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
• 9+ years of experience in data engineering, with at least 4+ years in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).

Strong hands-on experience in:

• AWS: Redshift, Glue, Athena, S3, EMR, Kinesis
• Azure: Synapse, Data Lake, Databricks, Data Factory
• GCP: BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, Pub/Sub
• Expertise in SQL/NoSQL databases (Snowflake, MongoDB, Cassandra, etc.).
• Proficiency in big data & analytics frameworks (Spark, Kafka, Hadoop).
• Experience with ETL/ELT tools (Informatica, Talend, dbt, Matillion, etc.).
• Knowledge of security & compliance frameworks (GDPR, HIPAA, SOC2).
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications: AWS Certified Data Analytics /Azure Data Engineer, GCP Professional Data Engineer.
• Experience with data mesh, data fabric, and AI/ML pipelines.
• Open to relocate to East Coast
• Strong understanding of DevOps/DataOps practices and CI/CD for data pipelines
