Expected salary range of $89,100 to $108,900, varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes a bonus and 401(k) match.
LOCATION
This role will maintain an on-site presence at project sites 100% of the work week. For the next 3 years, this role will be on-site at a project in Washington D.C area. For the next 1-2 years, this role will work a 2nd shift schedule, with primary work hours being 4 PM - 12 AM, Monday - Friday. Occasional weekend hours may be required, based on project needs.
Following completion of this project, the Construction Site Safety and Health Officer will support other project sites across the Mid-Atlantic region and be required to travel to perform site audits and other project-site based safety functions, as needed. A corporate day-shift work schedule anticipated at that time.
Our ideal candidate will live in the greater D.C. metro / Northern Virginia / Bethesda, MD area.
Primary Purpose of Position
The Site Safety & Health Officer (SSHO) is responsible for the development and review of the site-specific Accident Prevention Plan (APP), activity hazard analyses (AHAs), amendments to the accident prevention plan, on-site safety education, site safety meetings, overall safety and health compliance of the project, and a proactive innovative attitude towards solving difficult site-specific safety issues. The SSHO is responsible for managing, implementing, and enforcing the project Accident Prevention Plan. The SSHO shall provide full-time on-site safety and occupational health management, surveillance, inspections, training, reporting and safety enforcement.
