Job Description
Searching for experienced DR Drillers to join the operations team and support safety, productive, and high-quality drilling projects. As a key player in delivering client-driven outcomes, the Driller will be responsible for operating and maintaining drill rigs (including Dual Rotary) across a range of challenging environments.
- Key Responsibilities
- Primary Duties (approx. 85% of time):
- Operate drilling rigs (Foremost, Schramm T-455/T-450, T3W) and compressors (Atlas Copco, NCA)
- Perform daily drilling operations including hole advancement (6–40 inches in diameter)
- Interpret and execute operational plans
- Maintain safety, productivity, and environmental best practices
- Identify anomalies and report issues as needed
- Supportive Tasks:
- Conduct safety rounds and equipment checks (5%)
- Perform preventive maintenance: inspections, fluid changes, greasing (5%)
- Install strainers where required (5%)
- Communicate with crew regarding fluid levels, hole depth, and equipment status (5%)
Requirements
- Education: drilling certification or equivalent trade qualification
- Experience: minimum 5 years in drilling, including experience with Dual Rotary drilling
- Specialized Training (assets): water, geothermal, horizontal, directional, diamond, or exploration drilling
- Other Requirements:
- Physically fit to work outdoors in variable conditions
- Strong understanding of mechanical and hydraulic systems
