Job Description

Actalent Services is seeking a skilled CAD Technician to prepare computer-generated engineering drawings using AutoCAD. The ideal candidate will have experience in civil engineering drawings, be detail-oriented, and able to work independently to meet project deadlines. Responsibilities + Prepare drawings from sketches, general engineering and design information, verbal instructions, and notes using AutoCAD. + Prepare computer-generated engineering drawings according to established standards and procedures. + Review all work to ensure complete and accurate drawings are provided to engineers. + Convert verbal and written information into computer-generated drawings. + Operate a plotter to transfer developed drawings to an appropriate medium. + Assist with a wide range of projects and work with multiple project engineers. + Review final drawings for completeness and accuracy. + Communicate effectively with team members and project engineers. Essential Skills + Minimum 3 years of experience as a CAD Technician using AutoCAD with an emphasis in civil type drawings. + Proficient with AutoCAD. + Ability to read and understand construction drawings. + Strong communication skills. + Ability to work independently, maintain schedule, and manage deadlines. + Ability to make minor mathematical calculations. + Proficient in Microsoft Office products such as Excel and Word. Additional Skills & Qualifications + High school diploma or technical school training. + Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D is preferred. + Experience with Revit is preferred + Knowledge of GIS software is preferred. + Experience in 3D CAD drafting (Civil, Mechanical) is highly preferred. Work Environment Office environment with a possible flex schedule. Approximately 25 employees in an engineering firm. Growing company with a variety of large projects. Family atmosphere with close-knit working relationships. Contract-to-hire position with great insurance benefits and PTO upon permanent hire. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
