Job Description

Job Purpose:

Estimator prepares work to be estimated by gathering proposals, specifications, and related documents. Presents prepared estimate by assembling and displaying numerical and descriptive information.

Job Responsibilities:

• Prepares cost estimates by analyzing proposals and requirements
• Prepares work to be estimated by gathering proposals, specifications, and related documents.
• Identifies labor, material, and time requirements by studying proposals, specifications, and related documents
• Computes costs by analyzing labor, material, and time requirements.
• Resolves discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.
• Presents prepared estimate by assembling and displaying numerical and descriptive information.
• Prepares special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
• Maintains cost data base by entering and backing up data.
• Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing technical publications.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Qualifications Education, Skills, Experience & Abilities :

• High school diploma, general education degree or equivalent.
• 3 to 5 years’ experience working in Printing environment
• Computer experience, Microsoft Office products experience – Strong Excel Skills a Must
• Experience working with customers and Sales
• Project management experience
• Quality focus, problem solving, phone/email, resolving conflict, and multi-tasking skills
• Knowledge of print terminology a plus, but not required.
