Working on a fast‑paced glass‑container production floor, you will operate sit‑down counter‑balance and stand‑up reach trucks, perform basic inventory transactions in the warehouse‐management system, and uphold OSHA‑compliant material‑handling practices.

• Assist with daily cycle counts and month‑end physical inventory. || Equipment Care | • Conduct pre‑shift inspections, top off LP tanks or battery water, report defects, and coordinate with Maintenance to minimize downtime. || Safety & Housekeeping | • Follow 29 CFR 1910.178 requirements for powered‑industrial‑truck operation, including seat‑belt use, speed limits, and pedestrian‑aisle protocols.
• Support 5S initiatives: remove broken pallets, empty trash, and keep aisles clear. || Team Support | • Communicate material shortages or quality concerns to Line Leads; assist with repack or re‑stack tasks during changeovers. |
High‑school diploma or GED (trade/technical coursework a plus).
Valid forklift license or ability to obtain within 30 days; employer offers on‑site certification.
1+ year operating sit‑down counter‑balance or reach‑truck forklifts in a manufacturing or distribution setting.
Familiarity with basic RF scanners or ERP/WMS screens.
Ability to lift 50 lbs, read pallet manifests, and work in hot/cold warehouse zones.
Preferred
Experience handling fragile glass, food‑grade packaging, or other breakable goods.
Knowledge of clamp truck attachments and stretch‑wrap machines.
OSHA 10‑hour or PIT Train‑the‑Trainer card.
