Sheet Metal General Laborer
Location: Hudsonville, MI
Schedule: Full-Time | 1st Shift (6am-4:30pm Monday-Thursday)
Pay: $19/hr
Position Overview
We are seeking a Sheet Metal General Laborer to support our fabrication and production teams. This is an entry-level role with on-the-job training and strong opportunities for advancement into welding, machining, assembly, or skilled fabrication roles.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the fabrication of sheet metal components used in environmental test chambers
- Operate basic shop tools such as drills, grinders, shears, and deburring equipment
- Load/unload materials and support machine operators as needed
- Perform simple assembly tasks and follow work instructions
- Inspect materials and parts for defects or quality issues
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Support production goals and collaborate with team members to meet deadlines
Qualifications
- Previous manufacturing or labor experience is helpful but not required —we will train!
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely
- Comfortable standing, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs throughout the shift
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn
- Ability to read basic measurements (tape measure, calipers a plus)
- Positive attitude and desire to grow within the company
