Position: Shop Maintenance Technician
Location: Northeast Austin, TX
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (Weekends as needed)
Type: Temp to Hire
Pay: Based on experience
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Shop Maintenance Technician to join our sheet metal fabrication team in Northeast Austin. This position is responsible for performing maintenance and repairs on fabrication equipment, hydraulic systems, and general shop machinery . The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills with experience maintaining industrial or sheet metal equipment.
Responsibilities:
• Perform routine and preventative maintenance on fabrication and hydraulic equipment
• Troubleshoot and repair machinery to minimize downtime
• Inspect and replace defective or worn mechanical components
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs and reports
• Ensure all work is performed safely and efficiently
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
Requirements:
• Experience performing maintenance and repairs on sheet metal fabrication or hydraulic equipment
• Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
• Ability to read and interpret manuals, diagrams, and technical documents
• Must pass background screening
• English-speaking or bilingual (English/Spanish preferred)
• Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused
• Able to work weekends as needed
