Description

We are seeking a Hot Air Welder to join our growing team! This person would be responsible for hot air extrusion welding tanks and assemblies. Each job must be run with safety, accuracy and timeliness.  They will ensure the effective operation of the quality management system and its processes.

Requirements

  • Create quality welds according to blueprints and standards
  • Inspect welds for accuracy
  • Understands workmanship
  • Set up of equipment
  • Identification of non-conformities and how to fix them
  • Maintain a safe work environment
  • Responsible for properly packing, identifying, and moving of all finished products to the proper location
  • Perform inspections as required
  • Perform maintenance as required Responsible for keeping equipment and work area clean and orderly and perform basic preventative maintenance functions on equipment
  • Suggest and implement improvements.
  • Completes all required safety procedures prior to and during operations
  • May perform other duties as assigned by management

Education

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Understanding of PRD-039 Welding Process and PRD-053 Air Welding Procedure

Training

  • On the job training will be provided

Skills

  • Basic reading skills. Must be able to follow directions
  • Basic computer navigation and utilization skills
  • Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly
  • Ability to use thinking and reasoning to solve a problem and to think in such a way as to produce a new concept or idea
  • High attention to detail and self-motivation skills
  • Regularly lift 30-50 pounds
  • Regularly perform repetitive tasks
  • Regularly possess manual dexterity to put parts or pieces together quickly and accurately
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus

Safety

WARNING:

Hot air extrusion welding equipment emits a strong electromagnetic field. This can disrupt and/or disable the operation of implanted heart pacemakers and cardioverter defibrillators. Extreme care and consideration should be exercised around this equipment if you are dependent on any of these medical devices.
