Job Title: HR Assistant

Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking an HR Assistant to join our client to support essential human resources operations and contribute to a positive employee experience. This contract-to-hire position is based onsite in the Cherry Hill, NJ area, offering the opportunity to grow within a dynamic team. In this role, you will coordinate onboarding and offboarding processes, assist with benefits and compliance, and provide day-to-day administrative support to ensure seamless HR workflows. This is a great opportunity to build a strong foundation in HR while gaining exposure across multiple areas of the employee lifecycle.

Compensation:
$24 – $25/hour

Work Schedule:
Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Key Responsibilities of the HR Assistant:
• Coordinate new hire onboarding and offboarding activities, including system updates, file management, and cross-department communication.
• Support benefits administration by assisting employees with questions, processing life events, and ensuring accurate reporting and payroll deductions.
• Maintain accurate employee records, process changes (compensation, supervisor, department, etc.), and respond to employment verification requests.
• Assist with leave of absence administration, including FMLA tracking and required documentation.
• Provide general HR administrative support such as preparing letters, reports, and organizational updates.
• Help facilitate training sessions, wellness initiatives, and employee engagement activities.
• Contribute to compliance processes by supporting audits, reporting, and HR data accuracy.

Qualifications and Skills for the HR Assistant:
• Prior HR or administrative experience preferred; knowledge of onboarding, benefits, or payroll processes is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities accurately and efficiently.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and comfort working with HRIS or related systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer service mindset.
• High level of attention to detail, confidentiality, and professionalism in handling sensitive information.
