Insurance Administrative Assistant Location Nashville, TN (Midtown area) : Overview:

The Insurance Administrative Assistant provides support for the Director of Insurance and Workers Compensation and the Director of Risk Management in reviewing, organizing gathering, maintaining and analyzing various types of information the department receives or releases. Schedule : Full-time, remote considered, travel to our corporate office will be required at minimum once per week. Compensation: Pay range depending on experience. Responsibilities: - supports the development and implementation of our property and casualty insurance program..
- Reviews, compares and distributes insurance loss runs to authorized DCI staff (various lines of insurance).
- Builds reports from the internet and/or from the broker/agent and forwards to the corresponding corporate clinic administrator.
- Maintains and updates property statement of values (updated quarterly) using excel and provides collected data from internal audits to our insurance broker.
- Assist with the annual insurance renewal process by collecting and distributing information as needed (including but not limited to) updating cope underwriting surveys, statement of values, updated loss information, current attorney list, procedure information and financial statements.
- Maintains master files on topical issues relevant to insurance, worker's compensation, claim and post-accident drug testing information.
- Maintains various vendor based internet or computer software programs. (Must have the ability to open, run and manipulate the information and consolidate into a financial analysis report). (Cost comparison to cost versus claim dollars spent that would be suitable to the corporate administrator).
- Creates and maintains certificates of insurance data base. (Must understand and request the correct coverage and wording on the certificate of insurance).
- Answers phone and provides information and routes calls accordingly.
- Sorts and distributes all incoming mail, prepares all outgoing mail (to include provider billing to the insurance carrier)
- Compose correspondence for department, creating new and maintaining existing data bases.
- Maintains and updates all information pertaining to company owned vehicles and employees who drive (proof of insurance and driver's license).
Qualifications: Education and Experience: - Associates degree or equivalent relevant work experience.
- Intermediate Level-Microsoft Office Suite and Sharepoint.
- Excel, Access and PowerPoint intermediate skill level required.
- Insurance claim knowledge preferred.
- Insurance knowledge of certificates preferred.
- Knowledge of property, casualty loss control, safety and auto insurance preferred.
