Job Description

As Laundry Attendant, you will be responsible for using laundering machines to provide clean articles such as linens, towels, and rags for our guests. You will also sort, fold and stock the clean linen backup in storage. If you have great attention to detail, take direction well, and like to follow a consistent routine, this might be just the job for you! ** Must be able to work weekends/Sundays. Please do not apply if you are not available on Sunday's. Your application will be declined. **

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform all stages of laundering process including, but not limited to collecting, transporting, sorting, loading and unloading, folding, storing, and delivering.
• Ensure sheets, other bed linens, towels and other linens are laundered to standards set forth by brand and hotel management.
• Iron and press linens, as necessary.
• Inspect linen on regular basis for tears, holes, or sub-standard conditions and remove from inventory.
• Handle contaminated articles per company, franchise, and OSHA standards.
• Maintain clean laundry room and facilities; informs appropriate personnel of maintenance needs.
• Maintain the inventory of cleaning supplies and linen; informs the Executive Housekeeper of any inventory needs.
• Respond to guest service issues in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Knowledge of housekeeping and laundry operations and procedures.
• Knowledge of proper use and storage of cleaning chemicals.
• General knowledge of equipment such as vacuums, commercial washers and dryers.
• Able to understand and speak some of the English language.
• Able to prioritize work assignments.
• Demonstrate genuine care for customers and employees.
• Able to work in a fast paced environment.
• Able to stand for the majority of shift.
