Our hospitals, care sites and clinicians are recognized for clinical and operational excellence. **Job Summary:** The Radiology Support Assistant will assist with the flow of imaging images and reports from all the modalities used for the care of each patient within the system. **Essential Functions:** + Assists the technologists with the daily workflow of imaging patients. + Verifies patient identification using two patient identifiers. + Transports patients from other units and departments to the radiology department. + Escorts patients to and from the waiting room to the appropriate department. + Prints reports, makes CD's, and electronically share images as requested. + Receives, imports, and logs outside images into PACS and Epic. + Utilizes e-sharing image solution to expedite image transfers. + Maintains appropriate tracking mechanisms for incoming and outgoing imaging records. **Education:** + High School Degree or GED (required) + Associate degree (preferred) **Licensure/Certification:** + Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association (required) **Experience:** + EPIC Electronic Health Record (EHR) experience (preferred) + Picture Archiving Communication System (PACS) experience (preferred) + Healthcare experience (preferred) **Skills & Abilities:** + Demonstrates problem solving, active listening, time management, organization and adaptability skills. + Possesses ability to provide a strong customer service via email communication and phone etiquette in a high stress environment. + Basic knowledge of Microsoft Suite and radiology imaging anatomy.
