What it's like to be a Rover (Teller) at SMB

As a Rover at Southwest Missouri Bank, you will play a vital role in delivering prompt, courteous, and accurate customer service across various locations. This position empowers you to assist customers with a range of teller transactions and banking inquiries, ensuring their needs are met with professionalism. Requirements for this job (Full Time 40 hours per week. Must be available 7:30 am - 6:15 pm Monday - Friday and 7:30 am - 12:15 pm Saturday rotation)

Completing necessary documentation in line with regulatory requirements is also key. A neat, professional appearance and reliable work ethic will enhance your role within our energetic culture. Participating in training and utilizing available bank resources will strengthen your knowledge, while cross-training in other areas will broaden your understanding of banking services.

Familiarity with tools like the 10-Key Adding Machine and basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel, will further support your success in this versatile position.

Knowledge And Skills Required For The Position Are

  • Provide quality customer service to both internal and external customers.
  • Acknowledge the customer immediately and follow the Non-Negotiable guidelines.
  • Handle customer needs and inquiries with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Balance teller drawer daily and comply with all teller standards and bank procedures. Keep cash secure to maintain a high level of security.
  • Complete all necessary documentation for customers in accordance with bank policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain a neat and clean professional appearance and demonstrate dependability and flexibility in performing the duties of this position.
  • Participate in available training and utilize bank resources and products to strengthen job knowledge.
  • Cross train to cover other areas and broaden understanding of overall banking services.
  • Recognize opportunities to cross sell bank products and services to existing and prospective customers.
