**SUMMARY OF POSITION:**
**Provides high quality scheduling experience for the patients of Penn State Health. Deploys excellent customer service engagement skills by phone. Schedules accurately for all specialty area supported in Phone Access Group against scheduling guidelines.**
**ESSENTIAL DUTIES** **- The percentage of time spent performing essential functions is 95%. Qualified individuals must have the ability (with or without reasonable accommodation) to perform the following duties:**
+ **Answers inbound calls from patients and internal stakeholders, redirecting patients as needed and performing all elements of scheduling accurately and politely at point of patient contact.**
+ **Demonstrates sound knowledge and judgement involving appropriate clinician when presented with a clinical concern from a patient.**
+ **Places outbound calls to patients to support scheduling functions.**
+ **Provides quotes.**
+ **Schedules pre and post op appointments.**
+ **Books surgeries and takes payments.**
+ **Adheres to all organizational policies and procedures.**
**MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):**
+ **High School Diploma or equivalent required.**
**PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S):**
+ **Associate's Degree in Healthcare Administration or a related field preferred.**
+ **Prior Call Center, Healthcare IT, or Healthcare operational experience preferred.**
+ **Prior Ambulatory practice site experience preferred.**
+ **Strong customer service background preferred.**
