**Overview**
Microsoft's Cloud Operations & Innovation (CO+I) organization powers one of the largest and most advanced global datacenter infrastructures in the world-delivering secure, compliant, cost-effective, and highly available cloud services that customers depend on. As a Senior Business Manager in the Integrated Planning and Execution (IPE) organization within CO+I, you will play a critical role in driving operational excellence and strategic alignment across the organization. This position partners closely with senior leadership to manage business rhythms, oversee financial and operational planning, and enable decision-making that supports IPE organization mission and charter.
The IPE organization integrates critical functions of the rapidly growing CO+I organization under one umbrella to better enable datacenter infrastructure growth across regions, datacenters, and network design across the entire business along with end-to-end execution delivery. Some of key focus areas of the IPE org are (indicative and not exhaustive):
+ Driving datacenter capacity planning, ensuring reliable signal execution and alignment across engineering, supply chain, and operations. This includes complexities in pre-positioning infrastructure and mitigating schedule risks which are essential to meeting aggressive AI and cloud growth target ensuring business continuity and enable Microsoft to scale predictably and competitively.
+ Own the storyline for CAPEX requests to Microsoft Capex Council and CFO for new region business developments (order of $billions every quarter).
+ Creating, managing, and driving E2E global strategies for new and existing regions over the next 10 years, leading customer engagements throughout process, and owning regional design and technical layout. This includes engagements with senior stakeholders, partners, and government officials across the globe along with associated preparation of internal/external materials, presentations, and briefings.
+ Engineer internal tooling that enables integrated processes to signal and plan for all future capacity needs.
+ Accelerate global network deployments and upgrades (e.g. 400G network upgrade program enabling next gen regions, campuses and clusters).
+ Provide end-to-end global project leadership, and in partnership with regional and functional teams, drive continuous improvement for our project execution and insights.
As the Sr. Business manager for the CVP of IPE and the broader organization, the incumbent will be required to help achieve and accelerate the IPE mission and focus areas listed above.
**Responsibilities**
**Business Operations**
+ Collaborate with internal stakeholders and teams to supervise the creation and implementation of execution plans. Lead and oversee processes to ensure alignment across groups
+ Create clarity in ambiguous situations to facilitate and drive prioritization and decision making for leaders across the organization
+ Leverage knowledge of the organizational strategy and planned deliverables for the upcoming year(s) to design complex budgets
+ Drive the architecture, development, and execution of the rhythm of business (ROB) aligned to the scope and complexity of the business
**Executive Leader & Team Communications**
+ Lead executive-level communication with a variety of internal audiences
+ Ensure alignment with business priorities
+ Develop content and messaging related to the team's mission and key projects
**Maximizing/Extending the Leader**
+ Synthesize insights and leverage expertise to influence the leader and leadership team
+ Manage and build relationships with leaders while using understanding of audience needs to ensure the optimal use of leaders' time. May interact with a broader array of high-level partners and stakeholders at scale for the business
**Organizational Health**
+ Support and enable a healthy scorecard for the team/organization and promote and influence culture initiatives aligned to defined People Strategy, connecting leaders and teams to One Microsoft Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) plan resources and guidance
+ Partner with Human Resources (HR), leader, and business management community on best ways to apply company guidance, accelerate progress related to culture and inclusion, define communications and action plans for the organization in response to employee signals
**Special Project/Programs & Initiatives**
+ Drive cross-team projects as needed to meet the changing business environment and to manage complex business needs
+ Engage in project management or may act as a project/program manager to ensure organization-wide implementation of strategic efforts that require hands-on coordination across multiple functional disciplines and business organizations
**Qualifications**
**Required Qualifications:**
Bachelor's Degree in relevant field (e.g., Liberal Arts, Business Administration, Management, Computer Science) AND 6+ years' experience in financial management, business planning, operations management, strategy, project management, human resources, or business-related roles OR equivalent experience.
**Background Check Requirements:**
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
+ Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
Master's Degree in relevant field (e.g., Liberal Arts, Business Administration, Management, Computer Science) AND 8+ years' experience in financial management, business planning, operations management, strategy, project management, human resources, or business-related roles OR Bachelor's Degree in relevant field (e.g., Liberal Arts, Business Administration, Management, Computer Science) AND 12+ years' experience in financial management, business planning, operations management, strategy, project management, human resources, or business-related roles OR equivalent experience.

Business Management IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $116,900 - $203,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $148,400 - $222,600 per year.
