About the role, Your Impact

Tocoi Engineering has a rewarding opportunity for a Senior Civil Designer in our St. Augustine, Florida office. This position will collaborate with engineers on the design of a variety of public and private civil infrastructure projects. The successful candidate shall be expected to work in a design team setting and efficiently prepare detailed design drawings and submittals.

What your day-to-day will look like, what you will learn on the job

• Working primarily with Autodesk Civil 3D and based on direction from engineering staff, design and generate sheet sets that include 3D terrain models, pipe networks, road corridors, grading and drainage plans, horizontal geometry plans, profiles, cross sections, volume analysis, and various 2D and isometric details.
• Design of residential and commercial land development, drainage and transportation projects using AutoCAD Civil 3D, this would only be needed if we are going to get a Transportation Engineer in St Aug (your call).
• Utilize working knowledge of building codes, landscape requirements, state building codes, ADA requirements and FDOT standards.

Education Requirement

• High School diploma or equivalent.

Must-haves, what you will bring

• 5 or more years of experience in producing detailed civil engineering drawings for several of the following areas: commercial and residential land development, stormwater management, and utility design projects.
• 3 or more years of experience developing detailed design drawings for Civil/Land Development projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Strong analysis and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent technical writing skills.
• Strong written, verbal, computer, and organizational skills.

Compensation The hourly range for this role is $27.00-$38.00. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, and certifications.
