Job Description: As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for the profitable execution of multiple assigned Projects and their assigned Project Managers. Ensures that assigned projects are done accurately, on-time, billed, within budget and within the scope of the contract. Responsible for the entire project including tracking budget and schedule status. Developing reports as needed by the Client and Construction Documents. Organize and utilize resources to ensure the work is completed per the Construction Documents.
Key Responsibilities:
Acts as the primary leader for multiple projects and associated on-site Project Managers. Manages execution teams, including all subcontractors, on assigned projects. Develops and coordinates project schedules and executes according to plan for assigned projects
Perform quantity take-off and produce detailed estimates
Analyzes project schedules to proactively address potential problems. Effectively communicates projects progress with direct daily communication with On-Site Project Managers, delivers issues/concerns and financial status to customer and senior management as required.
Manages risks and establishes project recovery plans when required. Resolves disputes with minimal need for escalation
Ensures project document controls are in compliance with contract requirements.
Oversees project construction for compliance with specifications, local codes and installation techniques.
Participates in job site final walk-thru and manages the completion of all close-out documentation such as As-Built drawings and system operating instructions; and all project records
Typically review plans and drawings, prepare estimates according to budgets, hold meetings and set and oversee construction schedules
Work with and assist safety personnel to ensure that such requirements are being legally met.
Oversee the preparation of complete, accurate and timely submittal logs for construction projects based on project drawings and specifications
Responsible for timely completion of all required project close-out documents per contract
Attend Owner/Architect pre-bid, project and closeout meetings
During Construction Phase, proactively manage project to achieve quality, schedule, budget and safety. Utilize and maintain tools: schedule and document management to track and record project performance.
Maintain customer (Owner, Architect, Engineer, Subcontractor, Supplier, Public Official and internal Employees) relations and conduct project meetings. Ensure prompt payment from Owner and payment to Subcontractor and Suppliers occurs according to percentage complete timely upon receipt from Owner.
Oversee documentation of quality and progress of each Subcontractor and Suppliers. Update Subcontractors and Suppliers of any changes to the plans, specifications and/or schedule.
Inform clients and/or A/E of productivity, costs, quality control, document management and processing of applications for payment. Notify clients and/or A/E of any issues that arise which affects quality, budget, progress and safety.
Qualifications:
Basic Requirements:
Ability to work effectively with and lead a team
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, and Construction Management
10+ years senior level project management
Preferred Qualifications:
10-15+ years in the Construction Industry
OSHA 10 Hour
