We're looking for an amazing Senior Developer, Web and Email to fill this role, which is based in our Seattle or Miami offices. You'll be responsible for web and email design and development, visual design, and brand communications for sales and marketing, reporting directly to the Senior Manager, Art Direction. You will interpret revenue management, product management, sales and marketing's communication “asks” and design/develop/deliver assets and experiences flawlessly and effectively. Making important (often subjective) creative calls with clear direction.

Responsibilities

• Employs and ensures electronic best practices and applies a high level of creativity and prior experience to constantly improve the functioning of the online presence of Holland America Line.
• Builds individual web pages for every email sent according to brand style and legal guidelines, and proofs for quality assurance.
• Coordinates with marketing teams via Asana project management system for scheduling, prioritization and trafficking of proofs to internal clients; then completes revisions and finalizes execution of assigned projects on deadline and on strategy
• Collaborates on strategic initiatives, presenting solutions and innovative ideas in the ongoing development of e-marketing programs. Helps the manager guide & mentor other team developers, contractors & freelancers with new innovations & best practices.
• Researches, organizes, and presents functionality improvements to the team, and develops best practice implementations for them.
• Completes Time tracking, job logging and archiving assets via Asana & Adobe Workfront/PHQ.
• Responsible for other tactical communication projects, as directed by the manager.
• Destination image searches with an eye towards uniqueness.
• Logo/lockup and typography design and manipulation across wide responsive devices/clients.

Requirements

• BA in Computer Science or Graphic Design.
• Minimum 10 years' experience in email web design
• Experience as a graphic designer or in a related field
• Expert AEM, Javascript, HTML and visual design skills
• Demonstrable graphic design skills with a strong portfolio
• Proficiency with required desktop publishing tools, including Photoshop, InDesign, QuarkXPress, and Illustrator
• A strong eye for visual design and composition
• Effective time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines
• Understanding of marketing, production, website design, corporate identity, product packaging, advertisements, and multimedia design
• Experience with computer-aided design
• Demonstrated leadership and problem-solving skills, proactive thinking with experience at building effective working relationships throughout the organization.
• Builds and maintains professional relations with operational department representatives to encourage collaborative partnerships
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Holland America is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visas at this time (e.g., H-1B status).

• Base Salary Range: $67,800.00 to $91,500.00. The range is applicable for the labor market where the role is intended to be hired. Final base salary is directly related to each candidates' qualifications and experience uniquely.
