Job Description

About Us:

AIRE Ancient Baths are temples dedicated to the creation of the ultimate relaxation experience, where time does not exist. Inspired by the tradition of baths from ancient Roman, Greek and Ottoman civilizations, the AIRE Experience always takes place in restored historical buildings in the center of globally acclaimed cities.

At AIRE we are proud to have an international presence with 9 established centers:  Upper East Side, Tribeca, Chicago, London, Copenhagen, Barcelona, Sevilla, Almeria, and Vallromanes. We are already looking into the future and moving onwards, with our soon-to-be-opened, and Toronto-2025, facility.

We are even prouder of the caring, inclusive, and familiar work environment we have created for all our employees.

Upper East Side Location:

Located among the high-rise blocks of the Upper East Side of The City That Never Sleeps, a forgotten building that used to be MOMA's art warehouse renovates itself to become an AIRE location with over 9,600 square feet. The old walls breathe the creativity from the thousands of pieces of art that once lived in its interior, through which now flows absolute relaxation, thanks to the baths at different temperatures and the six double massage rooms. The historic construction is also a residential building, making it the perfect opportunity to have relaxation at your fingertips.

The Role:

As a Spa Attendant/Link, you will play an essential role in delivering the signature AIRE Experience. You will be the primary point of contact for guests, ensuring their journey through the bathhouse and treatments is seamless, personalized, and exceptional. This role requires a balance of attentiveness, organization, and hospitality to anticipate guest needs and coordinate with fellow team members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome and check in guests, ensuring a warm, professional, and attentive first impression.
  • Provide guided tours of the facility, explaining amenities, protocols, and the AIRE philosophy.
  • Escort clients through their entire experience, from baths to treatment
rooms, ensuring they feel comfortable and cared for at each stage.
  • Anticipate and respond to guest needs, offering support, refreshments, or adjustments to their journey as appropriate.

Treatment Coordination

  • Manage treatment schedules in coordination with massage therapists,
adjusting for timing and special requests while maintaining flow and
    punctuality.
  • Communicate clearly with therapists and fellow attendants to ensure seamless transitions and service consistency.
  • Assist with preparation of treatment spaces, ensuring they meet AIRE’s service and hygiene standards.

Facility Support & Standards

  • Maintain cleanliness, order, and readiness of all guest-facing areas,
ensuring the environment reflects AIRE’s luxury standards at all times.
  • Monitor the baths and communal areas discreetly, ensuring safety, comfort, and respect for the ambiance.
  • Restock and organize supplies as needed to support uninterrupted operation.

Team Collaboration

  • Work closely with fellow Spa Attendants/Links and Massage Therapists to ensure smooth communication and service flow.
  • Support teammates proactively, stepping in when needed to uphold guest experience and operational excellence.

Who You Are:

  • Prior experience as a host in a spa or hospitality industry, preferred.
  • Strong customer service mentality: friendly, outgoing, and personable demeanor.
  • Energetic team player with a passion for assisting high-end clientele.
  • Skilled at anticipating the flow of business, thinking ahead, and solving problems before they occur.
  • Strong attention to detail: ensure clients have what they need, and remember the fine points of their reservations.
  • Ability to multitask, remain calm under pressure, and work quickly and efficiently.
  • Maintain flexibility with scheduling according to business needs.
  • Prior experience with reservation systems, preferred.

Why You Should Join Us:

  • Pay: $20/hour; $21/hour (CPR certified - AIRE pays for training).
  • United Healthcare Insurance: medical (major), dental, and vision.
  • PTO: (5 days).
  • Sick days (7).
  • Growth opportunities.
  • 401K savings plan.
  • Commuter Benefits Program.
  • Complimentary Bath Experience (once a month).
  • Employee Bath Experience discounts (including friends/family).
  • Employee Perks Program (TicketsAtWork).
  • Employee Referral Bonus Program.
  • Employee discounts for Blink Fitness Gyms.
  • Team spirit is our greatest asset! 💪 We are proud to have a welcoming and inclusive work environment where everyone's opinions and backgrounds are heard and respected.
