Job Description
Salary: $65 / Hour
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to join our team in delivering high-quality, student-centered instruction to learners from kindergarten through 12th grade. Under the guidance of the Special Education Program Administrator, this educator plays a vital role in supporting the academic and developmental needs of students with exceptionalities. The ideal candidate will collaborate effectively with fellow educators to develop and implement individualized programs, provide direct instruction, and ensure each student has access to meaningful learning opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Provide tailored instruction aligned with students' Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
+ Collaborate with general education staff to promote inclusive practices
+ Deliver tutorial support and participate in progress monitoring
+ Engage in planning and IEP meetings as part of a multidisciplinary team
Minimum Qualifications:
+ Bachelor's degree from an accredited university (preferred)
+ Valid state teaching certification per district and state regulations
+ At least one year of classroom experience (preferred)
+ Preferred certifications and endorsements:
+ Standard Elementary, Secondary, or Special Education
+ Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1)
+ Current CPR certification and required health clearances (if applicable)
+ Compliance with all federal, state, and local employment requirements
+ Minimum age: 18
