Job Description

Summary

We are seeking a qualified teacher to work in our Three's classroom starting September 1, 2024: Monday- Thursday from 9:15 AM-1:45 PM and Fridays from 9:15 AM-2:00 PM.
Pay scale begins at $25 to $30 per hour depending on education and experience. 
The Three's Teacher will set up the classroom (daily and annually), create and document learning experiences, support children's development, and assess their progress. Teachers will also twice a year with families for conferences, fulfill 1% of their annual hours in Professional Development (PD), and meet weekly with their colleagues (staff meeting).
We follow a play base philosophy and are looking for an energetic, creative and encouraging teacher to join our team. Candidate will possess an understanding of early childhood development and implement a positive and age-appropriate learning experiences.

Duties

• Establish a supportive, positive learning environment
• Daily communication with families
• Maintain appropriate and professional standards of behavior
• Effectively plan with teaching partner
• Assessments on each child in your program
• Write weekly newsletter
• Participate in parent/teacher conferences twice a year
• Fulfill 1% of their annual hours in Professional Development (PD)

Requirements

• Prior experience in working with young children, preferably in a similar setting
• Associates degree or higher and 12 credits in ECE
• Good communication skills
• Current pediatric First Aid and CPR (CT child care)
• Background check
• Three references
