Sterling Staffing Solutions  specializes in placing top healthcare professionals with our clients to deliver high-quality and compassionate care to the community. We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented  Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in a  correctional facility setting .

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct and compassionate patient care to incarcerated individuals.
  • Assess, plan, and implement nursing care in accordance with facility protocols and patient needs.
  • Administer medications, treatments, and procedures as prescribed.
  • Monitor patients for signs of distress and respond to medical emergencies.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals, correctional staff, and administration to ensure a safe and secure medical environment.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential medical records in compliance with regulations.
  • Educate patients on health conditions and preventive care.

Certifications:

  • BLS/CPR (AHA only)
  • RN License and Certification

Documents:

  • RN Diploma
  • Clear copies of Driver’s License (DL) and Social Security Card (SS) 
  • References

Immunizations:

  • Hepatitis B titers (must be reactive; upload results and first dose if non-reactive)
  • MMR
  • Varicella
  • TB test (annual) or chest X-ray (valid for 5 years, if applicable)
  • Flu vaccine (required during flu season)
  • Tdap (1 dose valid for 10 years)

Testing Requirements:

  • Annual SAMA (Safe Crisis Management) 8-hour training.
  • Annual N95 Face Mask Fit Test
  • Physical from PCP stating that you are in good physical health with no restrictions.

  • To be supplied by Sterling Staffing: Criminal Background Check with SSN Validation and Education Verification
  • To be supplied by Sterling Staffing: 10-Panel Drug Screen

Facility Compliance & Safety:
Ensure compliance with facility-specific requirements, including PREA (Prison Rape Elimination Act) Registration and Brochure.
Adhere to healthcare facility protocols and ensure best practices in a correctional setting.

HDO (Healthcare Delivery Organization) Requirements:
Verify , medical-surgical, or related healthcare setting.
Maintain and securely store clear copies of Driver’s License and Social Security information.
Adhere to policies, including Sharp Disposal, Housing Access Request, and Tattoo Policy compliance.

  • Schedule: Day Shift: 12:45 NN – 9:15 PM (8-hour shifts) 5 days per wee k with limited flexibility. Availability to work every other weekend is required.
  • Training: One week of training provided. (UKG/Dress Code/and Others)
  • Experience Requirement: Must have /Med Surg.
