Diesel Truck Mechanic Light/Medium Duty

Location: Los Angeles, CA

Pay Range: $28 - $38/hr. (Based on Experience)

Schedule: Monday/Friday, 7:00 AM/3:30 PM | Optional Overtime Available

Job Type: Full-Time | Direct Hire

Your Day-to-Day

• Troubleshoot and repair engine, transmission, electrical, air, and hydraulic systems

• Conduct PM service soil changes, filter swaps, brake checks, etc.

• Perform full vehicle inspections to assess wear, damage, or safety concerns

• R&R components such as bearings, air compressors, radiators, or oil pans

• Use diagnostic tools and visual assessments to identify and fix common diesel issues

• Keep your workspace clean, safe, and compliant with shop standards

• Communicate clearly with parts and service teams to streamline workflow

• Adjust to shifting priorities and work independently or collaboratively depending on the task

What You Bring

At least 5 years of general diesel repair experience (light/medium duty)
Your own complete mechanic tool setup (roll-away and portable cart)
Strong working knowledge of truck electrical, air, and hydraulic systems
Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
A proven track record of showing up on time and getting the job done
Comfort working on brands like Ford, Freightliner, Peterbilt, or GM is a plus
