Hope Power & Industrial Inc. is a specialty manpower resource provider to contractors, industrial facilities and power generation plants: We have immediate opening for Industrial Journeyman Sheetmetal Duct Mechanics and Foreman for upcoming industrial manufacturing facility duct systems and component installation in Greer, SC service area.
(Locals preferred - NO Allowance for Per Diem or travel expense allowance)
Must have Industrial / Heavy Commercial experience installing HVAC Journeyman Sheet Metal Duct Installers.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Read prints, layout material, install and test various types of HVAC equipment and duct systems according to plans and specifications, building codes and industry standards. Pay rate varies with experience. Must have minimum 5 or more years industrial duct work experience.
Job Duties:
• Plan, layout and assemble duct work, hangers, fittings and attachments according to plans.
• Field assemble and install galvanized, stainless steel, aluminum and other types of sheet metal.
• Install and set up air handlers, VAV boxes, and air distribution.
• Perform other duties as required.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
* Must have own reliable transportation and willing and able to travel to various locations in SC.
* Read and understand HVAC sheet metal duct shop drawings.
* Have good safety record
* Must have own personal trade hand tools
• Follow all safety regulations, maintain a safe clean working area.
• Perform other duties as required.
• Able to work indoors & outdoors in all weather conditions with proper apparel.
• Lift and carry up to 50 pounds without assistance
• Able to perform work on uneven surfaces; ladders, equipment and various heights
• Follow safety policies and procedures and wear the required personal protective equipment
Qualifications
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Over 5 years of sheet metal duct HVAC experience
• Excellent communication and comprehension skills
