Job Title: Journeyman Electrician (Commercial) Location: Omaha, Nebraska Join Team Kline – Where you’re not just an employee, you’re an owner! Job Summary: The
Journeyman Electrician is responsible for maintaining, installing, and repairing electrical systems in a commercial setting. This role will be working mainly on new construction projects. This role ensures projects meet safety standards, codes, and client requirements. If you’re passionate about your career, and want to take it to the next level, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities: - Install and troubleshoot electrical systems
- Ensure compliance with electrical codes and safety regulations
- Interpret blueprints and schematics
- Supervising and train apprentices
- Collaborate with project teams to meet deadlines
- Document work and track materials
Minimum Requirements: - Valid Journeyman Electrician license
- 4+ years electrical experience
- Knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC)
- Strong troubleshooting and leadership skills
Physical Requirements and Work Environment: - Regularly lift up to 50 lbs; occasionally more with assistance
- Prolonged standing and walking on various surfaces
- Frequent ladder use and work at heights
- Regular bending, kneeling, and working in confined spaces
- Frequent use of hands for tools and precision work
- Good vision and hearing required; use of PPE, including safety glasses and hearing protection, is mandatory
- Indoors and outdoors work required, may be exposed to extreme weather, confined spaces, and high elevations
- Overtime, weekend, and emergency work may be required
