Job Title: Microbiology Lab Technician

Pay Rate: $21- $23/hr.

Shift: Open availability is required

Benefits: Medical, Dental, AD&D, PSL

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Microbiology Lab Technician to support laboratory operations through sample processing, data recording, quality assurance, and general lab maintenance. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to grow within a laboratory or scientific setting.

Responsibilities:

• Process incoming laboratory samples accurately and efficiently
• Record detailed and accurate data in laboratory systems
• Perform Quality Assurance (QA) checks within the laboratory
• Conduct facility and field sampling of products and water
• Operate laboratory equipment such as scales and autoclaves
• Prepare media for microbiological testing
• Perform pipetting and serial dilutions
• Retrieve samples from various locations as needed
• Clean and maintain glassware, lab areas, and utensils
• Follow laboratory safety and cleanliness standards
• Complete all other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications & Skills:

• Laboratory skills, including aseptic technique (preferred but not required)
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment
• Computer literacy, including experience with Microsoft Office
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Solid math skills
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs
• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
• Clean DMV record
• Bilingual in Spanish (a plus)
• Science background (a plus)
• Professional demeanor and teamwork skills (a plus)

Work Environment:

• Laboratory and field-based work
• Standing for extended periods and performing repetitive tasks
