Job Title : Human Resource and Payroll Specialist
Job Type : Temp to Hire, Non-exempt Full-Time; on-site in San Diego location
Roles and Responsibilities
Payroll Administration:
· Ensure accurate and timely processing of employee timecards and bi-weekly pay. Including accruals management, bonuses, and deductions
· Update and maintain employee payroll records, including personal information, tax withholding, and benefits related information and documentation
· Address employee inquiries regarding payroll issues, deductions and benefits information
· Generate payroll reports, tax filings, and other related documentation
· Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations
· Generate ad hoc reports when requested by managers
HR Support:
· Assist with the recruitment process, including posting job openings, screening candidates, and coordinating interviews
· Support onboarding and offboarding processes, including new hire documentation, orientation, and exit interview
· Assist with benefits administration, including enrollment, changes, and terminations (health benefits and employee retirement plans)
· Provide support to employees on HR-related inquiries
· Assist in employee engagement initiatives and support a positive workplace culture
· Other duties as assigned
Compliance & Reporting:
· Ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies
· Prepare and submit required reports to federal and state agencies
· Assist in audits and ensure all records are up to date for compliance purposes
· Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information with discretion
