Summary

• A senior UX researcher will play a pivotal role in shaping our products and services by uncovering user insights and translating them into actionable recommendations.

• They will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure our digital experiences are user-centered and meet the highest standards of usability.

Purpose

• A senior UX researcher will be essential for creating user-centered products and services.

• They will gather insights into user behavior, preferences, and pain points, which not only improves user satisfaction but also informs decision-making, reduces development costs, and accelerates time to market.

• By identifying usability issues early and validating design decisions with real users, this role will contribute to long-term success and data-driven innovation, giving the client a competitive edge in the market.

Key responsibilities

• User Research: Conduct user research activities such as interviews, surveys, usability testing, and user observations to gather insights into user behavior, needs, and pain points.

• Persona Development: Create user personas and user journey maps to help teams better understand and empathize with our target audience.

• Usability Testing: Plan, conduct, and analyse usability tests to evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of our designs.

• Using the correct tool for the job (e.g. usertesting.com).

• Competitive Analysis: Stay up to date with industry trends and competitors' offerings to ensure our products remain competitive and innovative.

• Collaboration: Collaborate with UX designers, and product managers to integrate user insights into the product development process.

• Report and Presentation: Communicate research findings and insights through well-structured reports, presentations, and workshops.

• Continuous Improvement: Advocate for user-centered design principles and champion a culture of continuous improvement in user experience within the organisation.
