Job Title: Surgical Technologist – (OR Tech)
Location: Boulder, CO 80301
Shift Schedule: Monday to Friday | 10-hour Day Shifts
Duration: 05 Weeks (Possible extension depending on business needs)
Guaranteed Hours: 35 hours/week
Pay Range: $44/hr - $58 per hour on a W2

Responsibilities:
Scrub and assist in a variety of orthopedic surgical procedures, in accordance with facility protocols and surgeon preferences
Prepare and maintain a sterile field during surgical procedures
Ensure the proper handling and availability of surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment
Work collaboratively with surgeons, nurses, and other operating room personnel to provide safe and efficient patient care
Accurately perform surgical counts (sponges, instruments, sharps) to ensure patient safety
Support OR turnover, including cleaning and preparing rooms for the next case
Adhere to infection control policies, facility protocols, and industry guidelines at all times

Skills/Experience Needed:
Recent, hands-on scrubbing experience in a hospital or ambulatory surgical center – Required
Strong orthopedic surgery experience – Required
Spine, sports medicine, and total joints experience – Preferred
Proficiency in sterile technique, surgical instrumentation, and various procedures
Ability to remain organized and adaptable in a fast-paced OR environment
Strong communication and teamwork skills

Education:
Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program –  Required

Certifications:
DORA Certification (Colorado Surgical Technologist Registration) – Required
Surgical Technologist certification – Preferred (CST through NBSTSA or equivalent)
BLS Certification (American Heart Association) – Required
COVID-19 Vaccination – Required per facility policy (Medical and religious exemptions accepted)
